The Fontainebleau Hotel, Miami Beach

It was a nice way to spend a Sunday – Walking around the The Fontainebleau Miami Beach, one of the most historically and architecturally significant hotels on Miami Beach, and after eating dim sum with Wok Star at Hakkasan. Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it is one the most luxurious hotels on Miami Beach.

We have been ling in Miami for so long and neglected visiting this magnificent hotel. Upon entering the first thing we saw was a massive pool that was just simply gorgeous. Everything was just so big here: the lobby, the choice of restaurants, the pool.

After touring the hotel we sat down to have one of the most delicious dim sum feasts we have ever had at Hakkasan, a sexy, silky restaurant that offered an impressive array of luscious morsels of goodness, amid a bustling crowd of diners who were obviously delighted with the flavors of the precious dishes presented to us.

  1. Super post of iconic Fontainebleau! I was lucky enough to have met the designer, Morris Lapidus, he was really special. Thanks for coming and including a mention of my Chinese New Year celebration at Hakkasan! Always fun to see you, thanks for bringing your friends!

  2. Great pictures and delicious foods! I have been to The Fontainebleau Hotel a few times and love the decor. The massive pool and the variety of restaurants, including Hakkasan where I had a wonderful time, are just breathtaking.
