Situated in No Name’s Harbor in the Bill Baggs State Park, Boater’s Grill is an ideal place to feast, people-watch and take in the ocean breeze.
You can arrive to Boater’s Grill by boat as easily as you can by car. The restaurant is on the rounded edge of the harbor, and is the perfect place to relax, chill out and nibble on Cuban culinary specialties.
We went there just to check out the place and were pleasantly surprised. The menu is varied and offers many choices of Cuban and tropical-style dishes.
We ordered the Crab Cakes as an appetizer. It was unusual as it was served with roasted red pepper sauce, a presentation we had never seen before. The crab cakes were delicious; the sauce a little too overwhelming for the delicate flavor of the cakes but it was still a very nice dish.

Miss Y. ordered the Hamburger with Fries. She was hungry so of course it tasted good. The burger was served with tomatoes, onions and lettuce on a fresh bun and she gobbled it down in no time.

We shared the Grilled Florida Lobster with Shrimp Creole, an open-faced grilled Florida Lobster, topped with shrimp. Another uncommon lobster dish as it was covered with tomatoes and shrimp cooked with garlic and onions. It was divine and certainly hit the spot.

Boater’s Grill is not a fancy restaurant with fancy food: it is simply a fun place to hang out and eat well. The prices were reasonable and the service was good. The best thing about Boater’s Grill? The cool vibe.
