Perricone’s Marketplace & Café has been around for over 20 years. This charming and picturesque Italian restaurant/gourmet market is located in the heart of downtown Miami and offers a unique dining and food shopping experience.
I love the inside as it has a tropical feel with lush vegetation while being completely covered and climate controlled, so no sweating in the summer!
The Baked Brie en Croûte was fantastic – Whole baked brie wrapped in crispy puff pastry and drizzled with warm apricot glaze. Served with fresh fruit and crackers. I swear this dish can cure a broken heart!
The Pasta Special was made with quinoa and mixed with chicken , spinach and plenty of garlic.
The Half Free Range Roasted Chicken was a half Murray’s Free Range chicken, oven roasted and finished in natural juices and fresh herbs. Served with starch and vegetable of the day – asparagus and couscous today.
Perricone’s Chicken Breast Marsala was a chicken breast pounded thin then sautéed with wild mushrooms and imported Marsala Wine.
Desserts were also good. Homemade New York Cannoli was filled with creamy ricotta cheese and chocolate chips.
A bowl of fresh strawberries, topped with whipped cream is always something that warms your heart.
The little one enjoyed her Chocolate Chip Gelato very much.
The restaurant specializes in Italian cuisine and offers delicious sandwiches, pastas, generous salads and main dishes. The little market that you encounter as you enter is a great place to get assorted delicacies, pastries and wines.

A special mention to the Baked Brie en Croûte – this dish can change your life. Really.
