It began with a phone call – I wanted to know what time the restaurant started to serve lunch. The gentleman who answered said: “This is Killian Café, we serve everything all day, every day.” I loved the tone of his voice, and I was hooked before I even walked through their doors.
The day after Thanksgiving was the perfect time to go – it was crisp, breezy, and sunny, and we got to sit outside. We ordered simple dishes, and to be honest, I was not expecting much. We ordered 3 dishes:
Bacon Cheeseburger & Fries
Country Fried Steak with Mashed potatoes and salad
Cinnamon French Toast
I was astonished that there was something so special about the food here, hard to define. What was it? The ingredients? The service? The setting? Or was it just simply love?
I am coming back here for sure. The full menu is available all day from 7:00 am to closing, and Killian Café will surely leave you smacking your lips with a big smile on your face.
