Today, I’m embarking on a journey to create the most comforting of treats: chocolate chip cookies. They bake for a little bit until they’re just right. Sometimes, for fun, I use M&Ms instead of chocolate chips. Simple as that, and you’ve got some seriously tasty cookies. This recipe is by Dzung Lewis, AKA Honeysuckle, and it is an absolute winner.
Ingredients
● 1 stick unsalted butter (8 tbsp)
● 1⁄2 cup of brown sugar
● 1⁄2 cup of white sugar
● 1 egg
● 1 tsp vanilla
● 1⁄2 tsp baking soda
● 1⁄2 tsp salt
● 1 1⁄3 cups flour
● 1 cup large chocolate chips
- Preheat the oven to 350o F.
- Melt and carefully brown the butter.
- In a large bowl mix the sugars, eggs,
vanilla, salt, baking soda, and the butter. - Once mixed add the flour and the
chocolate chips at the same time and mix
well, until you see no flour in the dough. - Scoop into round dough balls on a
parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350o F. - Cool and serve
Tips
Use M and M’s instead of chocolate chips.
