Taste Vina Tabali on Tuesday, Sept. 17

On Tuesday, Sept. 17, db Bistro Moderne and Sommelier Christopher Birnie-Wisscher welcome the vibrant wines of Chile’s Vina Tabali. Situated in the Limari Valley, Vina Tabali harnesses the region’s moderate climate, chalky clay soil and Camanchaca fog, which descends onto the vineyards each morning from the Pacific Ocean to produce consistently impressive wines that boast expressive character and beautiful minerality. Chef Matthieu Godard has created a widely appropriate dinner including: Seafood Pot-Pie, Maine Sea Scallops, Lobster, Mussels, Jumbo Lump crab, Watercress Salad and Merquen Spices Roasted Ribeye, Crushed Pumpkin, Purple Potato, Rainbow Swiss Chard, Braised Short Ribs, Chilean Sauce Vierge. Birnie-Wisscher will have just returned from his trip to Chile with Wines of Chile and has been completely immersed in the culture. Tickets are $95 ++ and include four courses with wine pairings.
