Our friend, Eleanor, invited us to attend a cooking competition at The Fruit & Spice Park in Homestead. It was exciting to watch the Chefs in action. The chickens and I had a blast!

GrowFest! is about connecting the dots between the farm or garden and the dinner table. It’s about providing the knowledge and materials to grow, forage, buy, prepare, and eat good, local, seasonal food. Engaging the public, encouraging and giving them the tools to grow some of their own will enable them to gain a better appreciation of what it takes for farmers to produce the food we all eat, and whet folks’ appetites for the best, healthiest, and freshest produce.   Excerpt from the website

  1. I’m truly enjoying the design and layout of your site.
It’s a very easy on the eyes which makes it much more enjoyable for me to come here and visit more often. Did you
hire out a developer to create your theme? Excellent work!

  2. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know a
lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the
message home a little bit, but other than that, this is great
blog. An excellent read. I will definitely be back.
