Looking for more color in your life? Do you want to hear music in the street and see art on the walls? Are you craving delicious food and alluring drinks? Want to watch how to roll a Cuban Cigar? Visit Little Havana (Calle Ocho) in Miami. It will leave you enchanted.
We live in a city for years and begin to take it for granted. Little Havana is full of surprises so why not take the time to get to know it better? It is always a good idea to become a “tourist” where you live so that you can learn to appreciate what is in your own backyard.
We took a walking tour with Miami Culinary Tours and it was great fun. We visited art galleries, sampled local delicacies and got a taste of the history of this incredibly colorful and fascinating place.
My favorite was the Ball & Chain which is a bar and club with a very rich history. They serve drinks, food and offer amazing live entertainment. I had the best Mojito EVER here. You can also get virgin mojitos, which are also extremely enjoyable.

I also loved the Guarapo (sugarcane juice extracted from pressed sugarcane) at Los Pinaderos Fruteria. They add ice and a squeezing of lime and that makes it extra-special.
Cubans have brought their culture, food, music, and customs for all of Miami to embrace. Named after the capital of Cuba, Little Havana is filled with smells of picadillo empanadas, sweet and tart guava pastries and aromatic and potent cafecitos.
I wonder what it is like to live here everyday instead of just visiting? It must be quite an experience.

What fabulous photos! I took the tour a few years back and enjoyed it very much. I know they change up the stops from time to time. Perhaps, it’s time to do it again.
