I first visited Tacos and Tattoos back in 2015, at their first location in Kendall. My chickens and I used to go there all the time, especially on Taco Tuesdays. In a fit of nostalgia, we decided to pay them another visit only to find out that they have a new location, still close to us, still serving unusual tacos and other fusion dishes
The restaurant was colorful, full of art on the walls and tables – simultaneously modern, funky and cozy. Mister B. was with us, so we had a little feast.
Chicharrón (Fried Pork Skin) These were nice and crunchy and sprinkled with spice.

Tostones Rellenos (Shimp) – Pico de gallo, pickled cabbage, garlic aïoli – an exciting combination of flavors.

Pork Belly Tacos – Fried pork belly with charred pineapple, garlic aïoli, cilantro, and queso fresco.
Shrimp Tacos and Fish Tacos – The Shrimp with pico de gallo and pickled cabbage was my favorite
Elote (Grilled Corn – Mexican Style) – Fresh elote with Cajun spices, cotija cheese, crema Mexicana.

Deep Fried Oreos with Vanilla Ice Cream – This is a weird thing for anyone to do – deep fry Oreos. I did not try it, but Mister B. and the chicken cleaned up the plate!

Tacos & Tattoos is a family owned restaurant with three different locations – Kendall, Little Havana, and Florida City. They offer a vast selection of craft beers and Caribbean/Mexican/American fusion food. The service was amicable, the atmosphere inviting and the food saturated with gorgeous flavor. We visited the Kendall location and cannot wait to go back to munch on some more delicious food.
