It was raining, and the last thing I wanted to do was drive anywhere – but I promised. The little one’s boyfriend was coming over, and I said that I would take them to lunch. I had to keep my word. Where could we go that had good food, and covered outdoor seating that would keep us dry even during a monsoon? The first place that came to mind was Tacos & Tattoos.
It was a lunch date for Mister G. and the chicken, with me as a distracted chaperone, more interested in taking pictures than monitoring their lovey-dovey activities. We had been to this place before, but Mister G. was a T&T virgin, so Yazz took over with menu suggestions. She is growing up with a boyfriend and all. Now she is telling him what to eat.
Honey Garlic Wings

Jerk Chicken taco pastoreado style ( cilantro, onion garlic aioli, cajun pineapple, queso fresco)

Beef Empanadas

Fajitas Saltadas – Bed of cajun skinny fries over a hot skillet, topped with onions, peppers, tomatoes tossed in a sweet ginger-soy sauce with steak. Served with flour tortillas, pico de gallo, guacamole and crema Mexicana.

Deep-fried Oreos with ice cream.

As usual, Tacos & Tattoos excelled at all levels – the food, the service, the vibe were all good – perfect for this little couple to get to know each other better.
