There are many things to be thankful for but I do have the tendency to focus on what I do not have instead of being grateful for all the blessings in my life.
Today I would like to take the time to give thanks and praises to some special people who have encouraged me and constantly transmit positive vibrations.
This list is not in order of importance – I am grateful for all my peeps. Everyone I appreciate is not mentioned here: the post would be too long!
I thank Norma Torres for giving me he honor of being her friend. She has a big heart and a warm soul and always makes the chickens and I laugh.

I thank Grace Della for asking me a simple question, “Do you want to write for my blog?” I never thought of writing before and the opportunity she gave me opened up my brain. Grace has boundless energy and is a constant source of inspiration.

I thank Eleanor Hoh for teaching us an invaluable method of cooking with no recipes that will stay with us for life. She is an excellent teacher and a friend from the heart.

I thank Carmen Trigueros for sharing her knowledge with me. She is the best food stylist I have ever met and it is always a privilege to take a photo of her food.

I thank Bryan Benoit and Delia Benoit (my bro & sis) for treating my chickens as if they were their own children. I have no clue how I would have raised them without their help. Their kindness and generosity have no limits.

I thank Dahlia Graham for her loyal and unfaltering friendship. She is a strong, opinionated and talented woman. I wish I could be more like her.

I thank my parents for always being there for the chickens and me and for putting up with my shit. Their unconditional love is out of this world.

I thank Aunty June for being my second Mommy. There are no words to describe my love for my Aunty Junie.

I thank Lera Fortune for being a good friend and being an awesome companion for Aunty June. Her smile is a bright as the sun and she also happens to be the very best cook in Grenada. She is an excellent teacher and I have learnt a lot from her.

I thank Miriam Torres and Marilyn Barrera for giving me a chance and constantly teaching me how to be a better professional.

I thank Kalle Bergman for having faith in my work and allowing me to be an author for Honest Cooking. It makes me feel like part of a community of people who care about food. I like that he says “Make sure you do what you love, because even if you do fail, at least you will have fun in the process. “

I thank Bentley Benoit for being the little boy I never had. He is always happy to see me when I come home.

I thank My Chickens for giving me the opportunity to be a mother. They drive me crazy and are a pain in the ass, but what would my life be without them? Simply impossible to imagine.

“It is literally true, as the thankless say, that they have nothing to be thankful for. He who sits by the fire, thankless for the fire, is just as if he had no fire. Nothing is possessed save in appreciation, of which thankfulness is the indispensable ingredient. But a thankful heart hath a continual feast.” W.J. Cameron
My mommy taught me this prayer when I was little.
Thank you for the world so sweet,
Thank you for the food we eat.
Thank you for the birds that sing,
Thank you God for everything.
Here is a little video that I say on YouTubethat I thought was very cute.
