One of my Dining Companions is leaving Florida. I have known him for many, many years and he has always supported my maniac obsession with taking pictures of food.
I met Mister H. at work in 2005. We were teammates and sat in adjacent cubicles. In the beginning, it was all work, work, work. Little by little, we started talking about our families and hobbies and discovered that we both had artistic inclinations – he liked screenwriting and making movies, I loved taking pictures of food.
On our little lunch expeditions, he would make sure that the plates and utensils were in the proper place and that they were no extraneous matter on the plates. While I took pictures of the food, he would take photos of the restaurant. So was built a bond based on the love of capturing the essence of the moment.
Mister H. went on the write scripts for short films, even including my chicken #1 in one of his productions. We have not worked in the same place for years but our friendship never waned and always got together for sporadic lunches.
He is now moving to another state, onto bigger and greener pastures with his family. We had lunch to celebrate his new endeavours at Black Point Grill. It was a lovely day, with a powerful breeze that managed to blow the drinks off the table and dishevel my already wild hair – more things to laugh about.

Best of luck my dear friend. May God bless all your footsteps!
I’m sorry for your loss but just think that you can always visit and make a new adventure. Blessings in his new journey.
