These little “houses” on stilts scattered on the beaches of Miami Beach fascinate me. The colors and the wood construction remind me of the Caribbean.
With about 29 locations located between South Pointe and 87th Street, these Rescue Stations are beautiful, interesting, colorful little gems of architecture that provide an important service to the community.
There are round lifeguards stands now, which I have not seen yet. I guess it is time to visit again soon, barefoot, on the hot sand so I can take more photos of these small architectural and flamboyant treasures that never cease to amaze me.
I must go back. I had a year to take pictures and never did. Beautiful Brenda
